Notably, Albemarle retains the Palm Beach controllers, a preferred choice among operators. The power steering is highly responsive with no feedback, eliminating the need for a steering knob. Maneuverability is enhanced by the dynamic range of motion of the pods, enabling a 360-degree turn in 45 seconds at cruising speed and a return to below planing speed in 23 seconds. The boat handles light chop well, dispersing wake water widely with minimal spray reaching the windshield.
