Accommodations

Fantastic layout for two couple or family performance cruising. Two stateroom layout with primary forward, featuring island pedestal berth, hanging locker, panoramic portlights. copious storage, opening hatch and thoughtful appointments.

Next aft is the salon with convertible L-shaped settee, galley opposite with SS sink, 2 burner cooktop, fridge freezer, microwave and storage. Of course, this area is climate controlled with reverse cycle heat and air.

Aft of the galley, convenient to the companionway is the private head with new electric freshwater commode, sink and hot/cold shower.

Next aft is the huge, full-beam guest stateroom, with adjustable sleeping berths (athwartship king, fore to aft 'Lucy and Desi' singles), panoramic hull lights, and a hanging locker.

The helm deck and cockpit are phenomenal, with a giant motorized sunroof, large al fresco dining area for 6 to 8, starboard side lounge, wet bar with fridge, and access to the swim platform. This area is air conditioned, and the newer enclosure features sun screens to knock down the sun load.

The safe and secure side decks lead forward to a sun pad covering the entire cabin top

Helm

A unique feature of this sport yacht is the centerline helm. It truly has the feel of a sports car, befitting of her performance and pedigree. Under the leading edge of the retractable sunroof, one dials in how 'in the elements' or protected the driver is. A combination of analog and digital gauges frame the new Simrad NSS 12 evo3 display for RADAR, Chart, GPS, autopilot, depth and more. Digital dedicated engine displays are next to the Volvo Penta Joystick and thruster controls. Thoughtful additions to this layout include hard wired helm fans, and a custom phone / tablet bracket for supplemental input and communications. Fusion stereo with 16 interior and exterior speakers, subwoofer, and Wet Sounds on the bow. Searchlight controls, electrical switches and the Simrad RS90 VHF radio complete one of the nicest 'drivers' helms' afloat.

Build Quality: Beneteau is known for solid craftsmanship, and this model is no exception, providing durability and reliability on the water.

Cons

Space Limitations: While comfortable, the cabin space might feel a bit tight for larger groups or extended living compared to larger yachts.

Fuel Consumption: The powerful engines, while great for performance, may lead to higher fuel consumption, which could be a consideration for budget-conscious owners.

Limited Offshore Capability: Designed primarily for coastal cruising, the 38 Gran Tourismo may not be the best choice for rough offshore conditions or long ocean passages.
