At the best cruise speed of 28.9 miles per hour and 3,500 RPM, fuel consumption dropped to 9.1 gallons per hour, extending the range to 214 miles with a 10 percent reserve. These performance figures demonstrate that the standard engine is well-chosen for most users. However, for those planning to carry maximum loads and engage in water sports, the optional 380 horsepower 8.2-liter engine may be preferable. Handling characteristics include a 12-degree bow rise during acceleration, maintaining horizon visibility without aggressive trim adjustments. A slight trim adjustment brings the bow to a 5-degree cruise attitude, improving speed. The boat exhibited solid handling with a 16-degree lean into turns and no undesirable behaviors.
