2000 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer - 7.4 MPI / Bravo III
Here is a 260 Sundancer that has been properly freshened up and is ready to enjoy. This 2000 Sea Ray combines the overnight accommodations and creature comforts that made the Sundancer line so popular with big-block power, a Bravo III drive and a sport/wake tower that gives this particular boat a little more personality than your typical pocket cruiser.
Powered by the upgraded MerCruiser 7.4L MPI big block paired with a Bravo III dual-prop drive, she currently shows 976 hours. This is a great power combination for the 260, providing plenty of torque to get the boat moving while the counter-rotating Bravo III props provide excellent bite and maneuverability around the dock.
One of the features that really sets this boat apart is the sport/wake tower with elevated tow point. It makes the 260 much more versatile for a family that wants to do more than simply cruise. Wakeboard, kneeboard, swim and enjoy the lake during the day, then come back aboard to the comfort of a full Sundancer cabin. The tower also provides a great location for adding accessories and would make a natural mounting location for a 12V cockpit TV if desired.
The entertainment setup has also been updated. Approximately three years ago, the boat received an upgraded stereo system with additional 6.5-inch LED speakers and tower speakers, giving the cockpit and swim-platform area a much more modern sound setup. Additional LED lighting at the swim platform adds a nice touch for evenings at the dock or hanging out on the water after sunset.
Cosmetically, we've already done the work to get this Sea Ray looking right. The boat received a full professional detail, including compound and buffing of the hull, sides and upper surfaces, along with a detailed cockpit. The bottom paint has also been freshly refinished. She presents very nicely for her age and is ready for her next owner to start enjoying rather than spending the first several weekends cleaning and bringing her back.
The 260 Sundancer remains a great size for Lake Lanier and similar inland lakes. It's large enough to give you a real cabin cruiser with overnight capability, while remaining manageable enough for day boating, swimming, entertaining and family watersports. The cockpit offers plenty of usable seating, while down below you have the amenities that turn an afternoon on the water into an entire weekend aboard.
