Overview

The Boston Whaler 250 Dauntless represents the latest evolution in the Dauntless series, designed to seamlessly transition from a dedicated fishing platform to a versatile family runabout. This 25-foot 8-inch boat offers customizable options that cater to various uses while maintaining the brand's hallmark safety, durability, and attention to detail.

Exterior Design and Cockpit Features

Starting at the stern, the cockpit is designed with a 25-inch depth for enhanced safety and features a self-draining system with large drains on both sides. The aft casting deck is flush-mounted to eliminate trip hazards and includes two rod holders on each side. Centrally located is a 35-gallon aerated bait well beneath a gasketed hatch supported by a stainless steel strut. Seating to port and starboard is ingeniously created by flipping seat backs and attaching lower cushions stored within the same compartment, offering ergonomic comfort. Grab rails are recessed into the bulwarks, with optional high rails available for added security. Additional transom features include a four-step reboarding ladder angled away from the engine's running gear for safety, a freshwater shower with a pull-out wand, and ample storage compartments with stainless steel ball-bearing drawers. The side decks, measuring 20 inches wide, provide safe passage to the bow area, which includes a double-wide lounge seat with flip-down armrests, beverage holders, and integrated speakers. Additional features include a Vessel View 4 display and a Fusion Apollo Series stereo. The helm seat is an upgraded double-wide model with dual-flip bolsters, premium two-tone upholstery, double stitching, and high-density foam, complemented by padded and flip-down stainless steel armrests. Optional helm seating configurations include a leaning post with a flip seat back and insulated storage or a second livewell underneath. Protection is provided by an optional fiberglass T-top with color-matched underside and integrated grab handles, supported by console-mounted supports that preserve side deck space.
