The 1998 43' Grand Banks Eastbay is a classic Downeast-style express cruiser known for its timeless design, quality construction, and strong performance. Built on a deep-V fiberglass hull, it delivers a smooth, stable ride and confident handling in a variety of sea conditions.
This 1998 Grand Banks Eastbay 43 HX combines the pedigree of one of the most respected Downeast builders, she looks exactly like what an Eastbay should: purposeful, elegant, and timeless.
Built by Grand Banks Yachts on the renowned C. Raymond Hunt modified deep-V hull, the 43 HX is celebrated for her soft, dry ride and surefooted tracking. The hull carries enough deadrise to slice through a head sea yet maintains excellent efficiency and manners at displacement and planing speeds. With twin Cummins 6BT 5.9 370hp turbo diesels (approx. 2,000 hours) and this hull, owners typically see an easy cruise in the mid-20-knot range with a top end in the high 20s, depending on load and conditions. Fuel burn and RPM are tracked via FloScan tachs and digital engine interface, making it simple to run the boat efficiently.
Starting at the entering from the transom gate or stepping over into the cockpit you will notice a removable bait tank on the port swimstep. The spacious cockpit is protected with an awning overhead. Plenty of storage in the deck hatches all teak deck with added conditioner.
