Moonraker is one of sixteen boats built by Hansa Yachts between 1987 -1989. Hansa is a renowned shipyard known for high-quality construction and materials. The MacIntosh 47 was designed by Tim King. She is a fast offshore cruiser with luxurious interior livability, and an abundance of fuel and water supply for world cruising capability.
The cockpit can comfortably accommodate six people with room enough to move about for line handling. The lines and winches have excellent access to the helmsman, and the 40" wheel and angled back rests provide comfortable seating for offshore cruising. The walk through transom, with steps, provides easy boarding access for swimmers or dinghy passengers.
The interior accommodations provide comfortable sleeping for 5 - 6 guests. Each cabin is well appointed with drawers, lockers, and separate heads. The aft cabin features a convertible Centerline Queen berth with new mattress (6/2025). The berth can fold down to make a large sitting area for socializing. The large galley is located through the walkway to the aft cabin. The well equipped galley offers amazing counter space, double sinks, abundant drawers and lockers, 3 burner stove/oven, microwave, and a refrigerator freezer. There are 2 (newer) freshwater heads with vanity sinks, a wet and a stall shower. The inviting forward guest cabin has a pullman queen berth to port, and an additional single berth to starboard. The dinette is electric which lowers to another sleeping area. Another excellent feature of Moonraker is the Central Heating and Air Conditioning throughout. The engine room can easily be accessed from either the galley (to port), or the owners head to starboard).
