IMAGINE is a classic racer that was refit for the 2018 race and this winter would be the perfect time to get her ready to go again in 2026. The Davidson 44 is a celebrated classic IOR racer she is ready for a new owner to take her out the gate and race the open ocean.
Created by New Zealand yacht designer Laurie Davidson, this ocean racing yacht is celebrated for its fast passages and renowned for its sailing characteristics. The balanced helm, windward ability and spacious cockpit are augmented by roomy accommodations below that provide the discerning mariner with an exceptional racer/cruiser that is suitable for speedy coastal cruising and blue water adventures.
Boat construction includes a massive galvanized steel grid structure fitted longitudinally to the external lead keel that is bolted to the hull. Reinforced bulkheads are bonded/tabbed to the hull and the deck is cored FRP with seamlessly molded deck house and deck with non-skid and anodized aluminum toe-rails.
