Ferretti Yachts Information

Ferretti Yachts was founded by brothers Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti back in 1968. Three years later, they presented their first wooden motor sailer at the Genoa Boat Show which proved to be a great success. That especially comforatble 10 meter yacht that was fitted with both sails and a motor helped launch Ferretti into the spotlight where they suddenly found themselves listed amongst some of the most prestigious shipyards in the world.

In 1982 Ferretti inveiled their first motor yacht which featured innovations that were revolutionary for their time, and in fact, are still used throughout the industry today. Along with the motoryachts, they also began building both open and flybridge sport fisherman models.

Much of the 90's were spent doing research and development through their newly established engineering division - when they weren't busy winning offshore competitions. The following years were spent expanding both the company and the boat range into what it has to offer today.

Ferretti Yachts Today, Ferretti builds seven extravagant luxury performance yachts up to 80 feet in length. All are constructed with Kevlar fiberglass reinforcement, high tech resin and cored hulls and superstructures. The exteriors are finished to perfection with a high quality gel-coat. Powered by your choice of MAN or Caterpillar engines, these Ferretti Yachts will attain speeds in the thirty knot range.

Ferrettis that are destined for the United States are equipped with Kohler generators and 60-cycle 120/240 power. They are RINA classified (Royal Registry of the Italian Navy) and feature an impressive standard list of American design appointments. All of the included appliances are manufactured and serviceable in the US. The standard Ferretti electronics package is generous and includes a GPS/Chart Plotter, a 48 mile radar, VHF radios, depth and speed gauges and an autopilot. Both the 72' and 80' yachts come equipped with a Novurania tender complete with a 25hp outboard engine. Additionally, all Ferretti yachts are delivered with US Coast Guard safety kits (life jackets, flare kits, etc.), dishes and silverware.
