Viking Yachts builds its sportfishing convertibles, express models and Valhalla boats at its yard in New Gretna, New Jersey. The current range of new Viking yachts runs from the 48 Convertible to the 74 flagship. Shoppers comparing new Viking yachts for sale can choose an enclosed-bridge convertible with a mezzanine cockpit, one of five 50-series models built on a shared hull, or the Valhalla 55 Sport, a faster boat laid out more for entertaining than for fishing.

The Viking 74 debuted at the Fort Lauderdale boat show as a ground-up replacement for the 72. With a 45-knot top speed, it is the fastest Viking yet built. It cruises at 37 knots with a range of 500 nautical miles. The cockpit is 10 inches longer than the 72's and carries a Release Marine fighting chair, a 122-gallon (555 L) livewell, transom fish boxes and an ice box fed by an ice maker in the engine room. A Seakeeper 26 or 40 sits beneath a hatch under the chair, and Viking can swap the unit in about four hours. On the raised flybridge helm, MTU controls sit beside three multifunction displays, with throttles mounted on both sides of the console. Garmin screens drop down from the hardtop. Optional equipment includes omnidirectional sonar that lowers 14 inches below the hull, an enclosed skybridge and a tuna tower with its own driving station.

The Viking 54 Convertible measures 54 ft 6 in overall, with a 17 ft 8 in beam and 4 ft 11 in draft. It weighs roughly 75,000 lb dry and carries 1,357 gallons of fuel. On MAN diesels it reaches a top speed of nearly 42 knots, cruises around 32 knots and has a range of about 450 miles. The Viking 48 Convertible has a 14 ft 1 in beam, 4 ft 2 in draft, 520 gallons of fuel and 130 gallons of water. One 2025 example with twin 1,150 hp Scania 16-liter V8s ran 38 knots at 2,300 rpm while burning 120 gph combined. That boat used about 70 gph at 25 knots and about 46 gph at 16.5 knots. A ballpark Viking 48 price is $2.5 million to $3 million, depending on watermakers, generators, air conditioning and other options.

Interiors use high-gloss joinery throughout the range. The 74's salon comes in gloss or satin walnut with grain matching, a day head beside the cockpit door, a pop-up TV and a rod-storage drawer under the dinette. The 54 uses a three-cabin, two-head layout: - a port primary cabin with a separate shower - forward split bunks - a starboard bunk cabin - a washer and dryer

The 54's galley has quad refrigerator-freezer drawers, an ice maker and a four-burner Miele cooktop, and the dinette converts to a berth. The 48 has two bunk cabins, a starboard en-suite stateroom with an island berth, a day head with its own shower and a washer-dryer. Its galley adds a dishwasher, an electric cooktop and a Samsung microwave.

The 50 series includes the Convertible, Billfish, Sport Coupe, Sport Tower and Open. All five share one modified-V hull refined through CFD testing. A flush deck replaces the step deck used on the 48. The 50 Billfish adds a larger cockpit, an inset classic-style bridge, a centerline salon door and a split galley forward.

The Valhalla 55 Sport reached 61 mph, low 50s in knots, carrying 10 people. Its helm has three pedestal chairs, three oversized Garmin MFDs and Zipwake Pro controls. A Seakeeper 10 sits below the cockpit, and large powered sliding doors seal the helm area. Other features include a U-shaped dinette aft, a pitched sun pad and U-shaped bow seating. A fishing version is planned.
