Boat Features

The Tracker Pro Team 175 is a compact all-welded aluminum bass boat sold through Bass Pro Shops, measuring just over 17 and a half feet from bow to stern and rated for four people. It sits in the middle of the Tracker lineup on both size and price, with a 2025 Pro Team 175 listed around $28,000, roughly $250 a month, between the smaller model near $21,000 and the larger one near $35,000. Versions on the water include the Pro Team 175 TXW and a Crappie edition, and used examples going back to 2016 are common. It suits anglers who want an affordable, family-capable boat that still fishes hard rather than a high-horsepower tournament rig.

Power comes from a Mercury outboard rated up to a maximum of 75 horsepower, available as a two-stroke or a four-stroke, with older boats often carrying a 60-horsepower four-stroke. The 75-horsepower motor runs on regular 87 octane and pushes the boat to about 35 mph with two grown adults aboard, even with the engine trimmed down; a comfortable cruise sits between 25 and 30 mph. Swapping the stock aluminum prop for a stainless steel one adds three to four mph and removes the prop slip and shudder felt when turning hard at 25 to 30. Fuel consumption is light: the 21-gallon tank gives long range, with reports of running miles at near-wide-open throttle repeatedly before needing to refill, particularly with the economical 60-horsepower four-stroke.

The helm uses a base Lowrance fish finder, a modern flat-bottom steering wheel that clears your knee on exit, and a touchscreen information center that displays engine hours directly, alongside switches for the live well, nav lights, bilge pump, horn, and a phone-charging outlet. Onboard battery charging comes standard, so a single extension cord tops off the batteries. The bow trolling motor is a Minn Kota Edge with 45 pounds of thrust, controlled by a foot pedal with a one-through-five speed range and two cup holders alongside it.

Storage is a strong point of the layout. There are two rod lockers, one per side, each holding eight rods, plus a large center bow compartment that runs several feet deep, lockable bins, and the VersaTrack accessory rail system that accepts sliding rod holders, cup holders, cutting boards, and tackle holders. A center live well with recirculation pumps and a divider lets two anglers keep catches separate. Seating includes front and rear swivel seats and a removable center booster seat with a snap-on cushion that doubles as a step, and there are flip-up cleats at four points for tying to docks.

The trailer is powder-coated with chrome wheels, a breakaway system, a folding stow-away tongue for tight garages, and a winch with strap. A spare tire is not included and must be purchased separately. Points to weigh when buying: the stock trailer comes with single-leaf leaf springs that tend to break and are worth upgrading to triple-leaf before they fail, the bunk boards and trailer roller wood can rot within a few years, and the stock transom straps are low quality and prone to bending. Coverage includes a five-year boat warranty, a lifetime floor warranty, and Mercury engine coverage, though drilling holes in the hull voids it; the 175 supports only a single Power-Pole or Talon shallow-water anchor where the larger 195 allows dual units.
