Tracker builds two distinct 14-foot jon boats that draw shoppers searching for an affordable, all-welded aluminum fishing platform: the Tracker 14T sold through Bass Pro Shops and the Tracker Topper 1436. Both are flat-bottom welded hulls rather than riveted, which makes them a common pick for anglers fishing electric-only or 9.9-horsepower-restricted lakes, small rivers, ponds and creeks where a kayak limits how much water you can cover. Owners frequently keep these boats for years and run them on bigger water, including Lake of the Woods and the Ohio River, when conditions allow.

The Tracker 14T measures 13 feet 10 inches despite the "14" name, carries a 4-foot-5-inch (roughly 53-inch) beam and a 20-inch gunnel, with an interior depth of 15 inches. It weighs about 165 pounds empty, drafts only 5 inches and uses a 0.050-inch 5052 aluminum-alloy welded hull with foam flotation set into rectangular floor sections, reinforced corners, oar pockets, U-bolts and a drain plug. The boat comes in a forest green powder coat and includes two side handles plus two bow handles, light enough to ratchet-strap into a pickup bed. The Tracker Topper 1436 is 14 feet long with a 36-inch floor; its beam runs wider than the model number suggests, with gunnels around 46 inches, giving more usable interior room than the floor width implies.

Both boats accept up to a 15-horsepower outboard. A Mercury EFI 15 on a Topper 1436 runs 26 to 27 mph with two grown adults aboard, while a Mercury 9.9 four-stroke pushes the same flat-bottom hull near 23 mph on a standard prop with no jack plate. A 3.5-gallon tank paired with the 9.9 four-stroke can stretch across roughly two weeks of fishing. At the small end, a 2.5-horsepower outboard still moves a loaded 1436 about 8 mph. Trolling-motor setups are popular too: a 55-pound-thrust Minn Kota PowerDrive holds position against wind, and owners also run MotorGuide Xi3 units with spot-lock.

The 14T is rated for three persons or 345 pounds of people, and 580 pounds total with persons, motor and gear. These hulls are stable enough to stand and fish from on the center bench, though the low sides and shallow freeboard limit what they can safely handle in wind and chop; a 1 to 1.5-foot chop will toss a loaded 14-foot jon boat around. Many owners deliberately leave the foam floor in and skip building a casting deck, since added height makes the boat tippier and a deck adds weight that slows the hull.

A new 2026 Tracker 14T runs about $2,100, with a matching trailer adding roughly $2,500 and a 15-horsepower outboard around $3,100. Used Tracker Topper 1436s have changed hands for as little as $900, and a complete used rig with electronics and motor can come together for under $4,000. The 14T carries a three-year structural warranty. On the Topper, the transom is marine plywood and is a periodic replacement item; later models add a plywood backing piece for extra transom support. Topper 1436s are increasingly hard to find used, as production of that model has wound down.
