The Ranger 2660 is the flagship of the Ranger bay boat family, a 2025 rig measuring 25 feet 10 inches in length with a 102-inch beam and a 16-inch draft. It shares its hull with the angler-focused 2600 but adds a foot and an inch of length along with a longer list of features, and it borrows the front deck and prominent Carolina flare from the long-running 2510 Bay Ranger. Taller hull sides give it more offshore capability while keeping the shallow-water bay boat profile, which makes it equally suited to serious fishing and to relaxed days on the water with family. Maximum rated power is 400 horsepower, and the boat is commonly paired with the Mercury Verado 400 XL, a V10 400-horsepower outboard. Top speed runs in excess of 50 mph, with a peak of 57 mph recorded at 6,200 RPM and a 0-to-20 mph time of five seconds. Fuel capacity is 97 gallons, so pulling the throttle back leaves good cruising range for a full day. The outboard mounts on a hydraulic jack plate that lifts the engine for skinny water, and recessed trim tabs help hold consistent running attitude. The helm is the most fully featured Ranger has built for a bay boat. The lean post carries thigh-rise helm seats with individual bolsters and fold-down powder-coated armrests, with a 40-gallon live well in its base flanked by rod holders.
