The G3 1860 CCT is an aluminum center console tunnel boat built for shallow-water hunting and fishing where prop-driven jon boats usually can't reach. It measures 18 feet 1 inch in length with an 80-inch beam, and the all-welded sides are built on a 0.100-gauge hull for durability. The tunnel hull channels water down the center so the outboard can be mounted high, lifting the prop nearly even with the bottom and producing a shallow draft. That layout makes it a practical multispecies rig, equally suited to crappie fishing, catfishing, duck hunting and turkey season, and it remains tournament-legal under rules like FLW that prohibit jet boats since it stays prop-driven.
Power comes from a Yamaha outboard, with the 1860 CCT rated for a maximum of 90 horsepower and down to a minimum of 50, and it runs well across that range. The boat carries a 12-gallon fuel tank, enough for several weekends of fishing on the four-stroke. Optional buoyancy flotation pods mount on either side of the motor to lift the stern, help the boat get on plane quicker and let it float shallower at rest, while an optional 6-inch jack plate adds further height adjustment. A trim switch is located both at the motor and at the helm.
The fiberglass console seats two and is fitted with a stainless steel steering wheel and an anodized grab rail across the top. Rocker switches handle master power, aeration, navigation lights, bilge pumps and an interior courtesy light, and there's a fuel gauge plus a 12-volt power point for charging phones and electronics. Yamaha power controls come standard on every G3. The deluxe version adds a Garmin echo 100 fish finder as standard equipment. Six rods stow in three-position rod holders, three on each side of the console, keeping the floor clear.
The deck layout puts an aerated live well just forward of the console and two lockable storage wells in the raised bow, deep enough for a large tackle box or hunting supplies. The bow is pre-wired for a trolling motor and includes a screw-in seat pedestal base, with anodized cleats for tying off. Step-down pads on each side of the raised front deck give access to the cockpit, and the interior and floor are finished in non-skid vinyl that hoses out easily. At the helm seat there's a padded backrest over a large cooler that doubles as storage and flips fore and aft. The raised back deck sits high so you can fish all the way around the stern, and it carries another pedestal base for a fishing chair. Because it's a tunnel boat, two bilge pumps are fitted, one for each side, along with the cranking battery and a Yamaha fuel/water separator under the rear deck.
The 1860 CCT has been offered in several versions, including the deluxe, with color options such as ivory, burgundy and silver blue, and a Mossy Oak Break-Up camo finish infused into the hull and molded console for hunters. It ships on a custom 3-inch painted G3 trailer built by Bear, fitted with carpeted bunks, custom wheels and a Trail Guard detachable, lockable tongue that lets you remove the front section for security or to fit a shorter garage. G3 has held the marine industry's customer satisfaction award longer than any other aluminum boat company. For buyers shopping the 1860 CCT, the pods and jack plate are the options most worth adding to get peak shallow-water performance.
