The Azimut Verve collection is a family of sport outboard day boats that fuses Italian styling with the American center-console outboard format, and it spans the Verve 40, Verve 42, Verve 47 and Verve 48. The concept was driven by Azimut Benetti Americas, blending the brand's strength in lounging and onboard living with the outboard propulsion U.S. buyers favor. Racy exterior lines on the range come from Francesco Struglia, with strip glazing in the hull as a recurring design signature. Across the Verve series the hull is fibreglass while the deck and everything above the rubber rail is carbon fibre, keeping weight down and the centre of gravity low. Shoppers looking at Azimut Verve boats for sale are choosing a craft built specifically for fun weekends on coastal or freshwater playgrounds.
The Azimut Verve 42 is the smallest boat in the Azimut range and the entry model of the outboard series. It runs triple engines producing a combined 1,350 horsepower for a top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed around 33 knots. With 474 US gallons of fuel (about 1,800 litres) it has a range of roughly 200 nautical miles. The hull, designed by Michael Peters, uses a double step and a ventilated tunnel to cut drag, and Humphree Trim Blades provide integrated active trim. A fold-down bulwark converts to a beach club platform, the cockpit table sits flush with the deck and rises to dining or sunbed height, and the layout is asymmetric with port-side access to enlarge the bow sunpad.
The Azimut Verve 48 replaces the Verve 47, which sold over a hundred units in just over three years. Where the Verve 47 carried four 450-horsepower Mercury Racing outboards for a top speed near 50 knots, the Verve 48 splits the same 1,800 horsepower across three 600-horsepower Mercury V12 outboards. These engines steer through underwater pods while the upper units stay stationary, and they run quieter and more efficiently than the quad 450 setup. Top speed reaches about 50 knots (53 mph), with a comfortable cruise of 35 to 40 knots. Mercury's joystick with Skyhook handles low-speed maneuvering and single-lever control matches the revs automatically.
The fixed engine units let Azimut build a swim platform around 30 to 35% larger than the Verve 47's, with a drained locker forward of the engines big enough for two Seabobs and charging points. On deck, the bar was shrunk to open a walk-through on the starboard side, while retaining twin Kenyon grills, a sink, an ice maker and a choice of two fridges or one fridge. The fold-down bulwark now extends all the way to the swim platform, and the pop-up cockpit table drops flush into the deck. The carbon-fibre hardtop carries a backlit Azimut logo, a Webasto sliding sunroof and a forward air scoop, plus an extendable canopy over the L-shaped cockpit seating. The helm seats three on adjustable seats with space for three 16-inch plotters.
Below deck, the Azimut Verve 48 interior keeps the same layout as the Verve 47, designed for overnight or weekend use and sleeping up to six. The owner's cabin is forward, a twin guest cabin sits amidships under the cockpit with nearly 8 feet of headroom at the helm position, and both cabins share an oversized head with a separate glass shower stall. A lower galley adds an electric hob, oven, sink, a wine fridge and two drawer fridges, and the L-shaped dinette converts to an additional berth.
On a Verve 48 carrying around 18 tons loaded, fuel consumption runs about 9 litres per nautical mile at 30 knots and about 11 litres per nautical mile near 47 knots, with each engine drinking roughly 100 to 120 litres per hour at the 35-knot cruise. The 2,200-litre tank leaves about 1,800 litres usable, giving the Azimut Verve 48 a range of around 200 nautical miles. A Kohler generator, air conditioning and an optional Seakeeper gyro stabilizer sit in an easily accessed machinery space under the cockpit. Carbon fibre in the deck, superstructure and T-top keeps this high-performance day boat light and stiff.
