Boat Features

The Azimut Seadeck 6 is the first and smallest model in Azimut's Seadeck series, a 57.5-foot (17.25-meter) express cruiser that will be followed by the larger Seadeck 7 (71 feet) and Seadeck 9 (84 feet). It carries a 16-foot-7-inch (5.05-meter) beam, with fold-down bulwark wings port and starboard that widen the aft deck to roughly 7 meters when open. Azimut built it around single-level living, so unlike the future larger models there is no flybridge option on the Seadeck 6. A boat for sale here typically lists around €2 million plus local taxes, before options. The design leans on sustainable choices: cork decking instead of teak, carpets made from recycled fishing nets, and a mild-hybrid electrical system.

Power comes from triple Volvo Penta IPS 650 (D6) drives, 450 horsepower each. Azimut chose three smaller pods over two larger ones for less drag, shallower draft and better efficiency. Top speed is 33 knots; one run with 55% fuel and 15 people aboard recorded 33.15 knots, and 33.4 knots came up at 3,800 RPM. The hull is tuned for efficient planing between 22 and 27 knots, with no pronounced hump moving onto plane around 50 knots. At 23 knots it burns about 195 liters per hour. At 22 knots, fuel consumption of roughly 47 gallons per hour gives a range just under 300 nautical miles, while a 6-knot displacement cruise drops to about 3 gph for around 1,350 nautical miles from the 634-gallon tank. Sound levels sit in the mid-60s dB at cruise and stay under 70 dB at wide-open throttle.

The mild-hybrid setup pairs a 40-kWh BMW automotive lithium battery bank with a 15-kW variable-speed generator, a 3-kW alternator and roughly 1,450 watts of roof-mounted solar. The lithium bank runs climate control, galley and the Seakeeper at anchor with zero emissions for about four hours under load, or at least eight hours overnight. The helm has twin Garmin MFDs, joystick control, electrically adjustable seats and an eye-level breaker and switch panel; Volvo assisted docking and a pop-out wing station on the starboard side deck aid maneuvering. Azimut quotes the hull as 20-30% more efficient than comparable boats of five to ten years ago.

The signature feature is the aft deck, a sea-level lounge Azimut calls the fun island. The bathing platform slides out and drops down with built-in stairs, rated to 500 kg and able to carry a 3.25-meter tender. A large convertible sun pad with pop-up backrests covers a lazarette, an extending bimini and sun shade add cover, and two refrigerated cool boxes sit one per side. Side decks run about 20 inches wide with 24-inch bulwarks, and the galley-aft saloon opens to the cockpit through a retractable window with floor-to-ceiling glazing.

Below, the Seadeck 6 has three cabins. The full-beam midships master sits west-to-east with 6-foot-6 headroom, an island berth, a sofa and ensuite with a glazed rainfall shower. The forward VIP and a twin guest cabin share access to additional heads, and there is a washer-dryer, a separate aft crew cabin, and a Miele galley with a near-invisible induction cooktop, dishwasher, full-size fridge-freezer, ice maker and wine fridge. The structure uses GRP below the waterline for ride quality and carbon fiber above, cutting weight by around 30%.
