The Azimut 50, also sold as the Azimut 50 Flybridge or Azimut 50 Fly, is a 50-foot Italian motor yacht measuring close to 16 meters, sized for a family that wants three private cabins plus crew quarters. Its mirrored window line and large forward sweep give it the trademark Azimut profile. At its UK debut the asking price was £995,000 ex-VAT, which sets a reference point for anyone weighing the Azimut 50 cost on the used or new market. Model years in circulation include the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020 builds, so an Azimut 50 fly for sale will often differ in engine and equipment specification.

Power comes from twin Volvo Penta D11 diesels, offered around 670 hp and 725 hp, in either shaft-drive (V-drive) or IPS pod form. On the V-drive boats Volvo joystick control pairs with a bow thruster and an optional stern thruster for close-quarters handling. Minimum planing speed is 11.6 knots at 1,350 rpm, and top speed is over 32 knots at 2,450 rpm into wind and sea. The hull carries a light power-to-weight ratio of about 15 kg per horsepower, rising to 17.5 kg per horsepower fully loaded. A 2020 Azimut 50 Fly built with the 725 hp D11s reached full RPM and full speed on trial with only 177 engine hours.

Both helm stations carry twin Raymarine displays, autopilot, joystick control and Seakeeper gyro stabilizer controls, with the lower helm trimmed in dark chocolate leather bucket seats with flip-up bolsters and an opening side window. Zipwake automatic trim tabs keep the boat level under way.

The flybridge is among the largest in its class at 18 square meters, reached by built-in stairs rather than a ladder, and is shaded by a hardtop with a large opening sunroof section. It holds a port helm, a U-shaped dinette that converts to a sunpad, a wet bar with a Kenyon electric grill, sink and fridge, and an aft lounge with two love seats and a coffee table. The trapezoidal bow opens up generous foredeck sun lounging, while the cockpit has U-shaped seating, a teak table, an ice maker, a fridge drawer and a hydraulic swim platform rated to carry a tender or jet ski.

Inside, the Azimut 50 interior uses a galley-up layout two steps above the saloon, fitted with Miele appliances, induction or ceramic hob, oven with grill, microwave, dishwasher, a 220-liter fridge and two pull-out fridge drawers. A lower pantry level adds a washer-dryer, freezer and a store room of roughly 1,200 liters. Below deck, the full-beam midships master has three full-height windows and wardrobe drawers totaling around 2,000 liters; the bow VIP holds a centerline queen with ensuite day-head access, and a third cabin carries bunks. Three cabins sleep six, and the saloon dinette folds to a further double for seven or eight aboard.

Construction uses a resin sandwich structure with a structurally bonded engine-room and crew tray, marine-grade bronze underwater fittings, stainless steel deck hardware, an exhaust routed aft for noise reduction, aquamarine plywood furniture and Lympha mattresses.
