SPINDRIFT, a 27' PEARSON SLOAL DRAFT SLOOP, is a great choice for new sailors and down sizers. She is rigged for single handling but yet has plenty of space for the family. A large forward dinette converts to double berth, and the private aft cabin sleeps 1-2. She is clean and recently had her salon wood revarnished. The cushions are in very good condition. A 2 burner stove, stainless steel sink and large cooler storage make her ready for long weekends or even weeks on the water.

Pros
Shoal Draft Design: The shallow keel allows for access to coastal waters, bays, and shallow anchorages that deeper keel boats cannot reach, making it ideal for cruising in varied waters.
Solid Construction: Built by Pearson Yachts, the boat features sturdy fiberglass construction known for durability and longevity.
Spacious Interior: Despite its moderate size, the layout typically offers comfortable accommodations with efficient use of space, suitable for weekend cruising or short trips.
Easy Handling: The sloop rig is straightforward and manageable for both novice and experienced sailors.
Good Performance: While not a racing boat, it provides reliable and steady sailing performance in a range of conditions.
Cons
Limited Up-to-Date Amenities: Being a 1988 model, the boat may lack some modern conveniences and systems found on newer vessels without upgrades.
Maintenance Needs: Older boats often require ongoing maintenance and occasional refitting, which can add to ownership costs.
Shoal Draft Trade-Off: While the shallow draft is advantageous for certain waters, it may compromise windward performance compared to deeper keel designs.
Space Constraints: Although spacious for its size, larger crews or extended liveaboard use might find the interior somewhat limited.
