Overview
The 2024 Young GulfShore 26 is a custom, all-composite hybrid bay boat built by Young Boats in Inglis, Florida,
on the Nature Coast. It runs a 13" loaded draft for the flats and backcountry, and it has the hull to run offshore in
the Gulf of Mexico. This one is powered by a single Mercury Racing 400R V10 outboard (400 hp, naturally
aspirated 5.7L) from Mercury's high-performance Racing line, with approximately 30 hours (owner-reported).
Mercury factory warranty in effect through May 24, 2027, with option to extend at the new owner's cost. It comes
rigged with twin Simrad EVO3 displays, Simrad radar, twin 10' Power-Pole blades, a Porta-Bracket jack plate, 41
rod holders and a fold-back hard top. A Rhodan 84" 112-lb thrust Spot-Lock trolling motor, a full boat cover and
the trailer are included with the boat. It has been stored in a climate-controlled garage.
On this boat's very first fishing trip, the owner ran it about 100 miles out to the Middle Grounds, and it handled
the run impressively well. That trip shows what the GulfShore 26 is for. You can pole a skinny flat or work the
shallow water around Crystal River and Tampa Bay, and you can also make a serious offshore run in the same
boat.
Why the GulfShore 26
Shallow draft, offshore hull. 13" loaded draft, with 15° deadrise at the transom and a sharp 45° entry at the
bow.
Elevated helm station. The elevated helm sits on a powder-coated aluminum frame, which gives you a
higher line of sight for sight-fishing and for reading water. It has the reach-anywhere layout of a center console
in a bay-boat footprint.
Built to last. All-composite construction, fully self-bailing, with foam-filled chambers under the cockpit floor.
Range. 100-130 gallons of fuel capacity (per youngboats.com) for long runs on the Florida Gulf Coast.
Mercury Racing power. The Mercury Racing 400R V10 is Mercury Racing's 400 hp outboard. This one has
the 25" (XL) shaft, Cold Fusion White paint and a 1.60:1 gear ratio. Mercury Racing pairs the 400R V10 with
its 5.44 HD gearcase, which it describes as ideal for heavy bay boats.
Florida-built. Young Boats is a low-volume custom builder in Inglis, FL.
