The Yamaha VXR is a race-ready, lightweight personal watercraft designed to accommodate three riders. This model integrates advanced throttle technology and electronic systems to deliver a responsive and intuitive riding experience.
Ride Control Technology
At the core of the VXR's innovation is the Ride Control System, a computer-assisted digital control mechanism utilizing two throttles. The right throttle manages forward speed, while the left throttle controls reverse speed and deceleration. This dual-throttle setup allows riders to decelerate with the bow raised and to reverse without removing their hands from the handlebars, improving safety and ease of operation around docks and marinas. The Boat Control Unit (BCU) detects handlebar turns during deceleration and adjusts thrust accordingly for precise directional control. Additionally, the system includes a true neutral gear for enhanced control and safety.
Electronic Features and Instrumentation
The VXR is equipped with electronic power trim adjustment, controlled via thumb switches on the left handlebar, which adjusts the jet nozzle angle to control the bow position.
