The Yamaha FZ-Series WaveRunners have been updated with two striking new color options: black paired with electric green and black combined with velocity yellow. These vibrant metallic flake paint schemes enhance the visual appeal of the watercraft, but the FZ-Series offers much more than just aesthetics.

Exterior Design and Features

The FZ-Series measures 11 feet in length overall with a beam of 4 feet and a height of 45.7 inches, weighing in at 813 pounds dry. This size makes the watercraft easily trailerable by most vehicles. The design includes a swim platform that serves as a comfortable relaxation area or a place to secure boards, complemented by a retractable boarding step for easy water access. Rear-view mirrors are positioned high enough to avoid damage from dock strikes, enhancing safety and convenience.

Control and Storage

The dual gauges on the dashboard are backlit with chrome bezels, featuring orange faces that contrast sharply against the black panel background for clear visibility. The handlebars have adjustable heights to accommodate both standing and sitting riders comfortably. Controls are logically arranged, with the throttle on the right-hand side and the engine start, adjustable trim, engine stop, and lanyard connection on the left. Storage capacity totals 21.3 gallons distributed across three compartments, including a conveniently located fuel fill area. Additionally, the storage compartment in front of the driver now includes drink holders, enhancing rider convenience.

Power and Performance

Under the seat, the FZ-Series offers dry storage along with easy access to the battery and the 155-millimeter high-pressure jet pump. Powering the watercraft is a 1.8-liter, 1812cc, supercharged, four-cylinder, four-stroke high-output Yamaha marine engine. Notably, this engine is purpose-built specifically for the marine environment, rather than being a marinized version of a land-based engine, ensuring optimized performance and reliability on the water.
