The Yamaha 252SD is a newly introduced 25-foot model that redefines the capabilities and space utilization of boats in this size category. Designed with a focus on comfort, versatility, and advanced technology, this vessel offers an expansive layout and innovative features that maximize both functionality and performance.
Exterior Design and Cockpit
Despite maintaining an 8-foot 6-inch beam, the Yamaha 252SD extends its dimensions outward to create a surprisingly spacious cockpit area. The cockpit features 37 inches of space between seats and a depth of 37 inches, enhancing both comfort and safety. On the starboard side, a refreshment center equipped with a marine mat surface, beverage holders, and expandable table adds convenience. The upholstery is heavy-duty with multiple tones, bead welting, and robust stitching, designed to endure marine conditions. Additional amenities include grab handles, storage nets, multiple speakers including a subwoofer on the port side, and the option to swivel the forward chairs to increase seating flexibility. The collapsible sport tower provides six feet, six inches of headroom and supports an elevated tow point at six feet, nine inches above the deck.
Bow and Storage Features
The bow area is highly versatile, allowing multiple seating configurations such as dual lounge seats, removal of cushions for open space, conversion into a sun pad, or three-across forward-facing seating. Yamaha extends the beam far forward, providing 35 inches between seats and a cockpit depth of 36 inches. The bow is equipped with integrated grab rails, speakers, beverage holders, and marine matting on steps and hatch covers. The hatch opens with gas assist struts to reveal an anchor locker and a beach reboarding ladder, complemented by a six-inch cleat for secure anchor line management. Storage is abundant throughout the boat, including under the helm console and large deck compartments.
