The Biggest Pros and Cons
Pros
Durable Construction: The Xpress H22 Bay features an aluminum hull that offers superior durability and resistance to corrosion, ensuring longevity and reliability in tough conditions.
Lightweight Design: With its lightweight structure, the boat provides excellent handling and improved fuel efficiency, allowing for better performance on the water.
Spacious Layout: The H22 Bay is designed with ample space for fishing or entertaining, featuring a wide beam that enhances stability and provides room for gear, cooler, and passengers.
Versatile Fishing Features: Equipped with a range of fishing amenities, including livewells, rod holders, and storage compartments, this boat caters to avid anglers looking to maximize their time on the water.
Smooth Ride: The hull design promotes a smoother ride in choppy waters, allowing for a comfortable experience whether you’re fishing or cruising with family and friends.
Customization Options: The 2025 model offers various customization options, including color schemes and additional accessories, enabling owners to personalize their boat to fit their style and preferences.
Cons
Limited Cabin Space: As a bay boat, the H22 may not provide as much enclosed cabin space as larger vessels, which could be a drawback for those seeking a family-friendly boat for overnight trips.
Less Seaworthy in Rough Waters: While it handles choppy waters well, bay boats like the H22 may not perform as effectively in rough sea conditions compared to deep-V hull designs.
Not Ideal for Long Distances: The design is more suited for inshore and bay fishing rather than long-distance offshore excursions, potentially limiting its appeal for some boaters.
Storage Limitations: Though it has ample storage for fishing gear, the overall storage capacity may be less than that of larger, dedicated fishing boats, which could be a concern for serious anglers.
Potentially Higher Initial Cost: Due to its specialized construction and features, buyers may find the initial purchase price to be higher than entry-level models, which could deter budget-conscious individuals.
