The World Cat 266 SF began life as the SeaCat 25 Center Console back in the late 1990s.
World Cat acquired the molds and, after a complete redesign and many improvements, reintroduced her in 1998 as the 266 SF. The World Cat rides on a pair of soft-riding, semi-displacement
hulls rather than the higher-speed (but harder riding) planing hulls used by some catamaran builders. The construction materials and workmanship of the 266 are very good and the deck layout, with its generous storage capacity, is completely uncluttered. A walk-in head (or storage area) under the console is standard as is tilt steering, a wraparound windshield and a weather-protected electronics locker. Unlike a monohull, the wide foredeck of the World Cat has room for a couple of anglers
to work in relative freedom. Additional features include a fish box and livewell in the transom, in-deck fish boxes flanking the console, padded cockpit bolsters, a large tackle box, a weather-protected electronics locker and full foam flotation. A good-quality boat, twin 225hp Honda outboards will cruise the 266 in the high 20s and reach a top speed of just over 40 knots.
