The World Cat 235TE Tournament Edition takes World Cat's versatile 23-foot platform and gives serious anglers more of what matters most: fishing space, fuel capacity, storage and range. At 22'7" with an 8'6" beam, the 235TE feels remarkably substantial for its length while remaining manageable enough for everyday boating.
The deck layout is designed around fishability. An open bow provides plenty of casting room, while foldaway bow jump seats allow the same space to transition into comfortable passenger seating when family and friends come aboard. Higher gunwales, abundant rod and tackle storage and a 30-gallon livewell give anglers a purposeful workspace without turning the boat into a one-dimensional fishing machine.
One of the biggest differences is capacity for 120 gallons of fuel, an impressive amount for a 23-foot boat and a major advantage for anglers who don't want their fishing grounds dictated by the fuel gauge. Twin engines provide up to 300 combined horsepower, while World Cat's catamaran hull delivers the stability and ride characteristics that are particularly valuable when the water gets less than perfect.
Add the commercial-grade dive ladder, freshwater shower and available outriggers, and the 235TE becomes just as capable of handling a weekend family adventure as it is chasing fish offshore.
The 235TE is a serious fishing boat that hasn't forgotten that sometimes the best days on the water include more than fishing.

Versatile Layout: The interior and exterior spaces are designed for versatility, allowing for a customizable setup that can cater to fishing, cruising, or entertaining.
Powerful Engine Options: With robust engine options, the 235 TE offers impressive speed and acceleration, ensuring that you can reach your destination quickly while also enjoying thrilling performance.
Ample Storage: With significant built-in storage compartments, this model allows you to stow gear securely, keeping the deck organized and clutter-free.
Fishing Features: Equipped with multiple rod holders, live wells, and fish boxes, the 235 TE is tailored for anglers who demand functionality and convenience.
Comfortable Seating: The boat provides comfortable seating arrangements both in the cockpit and at the helm, making it an ideal choice for family outings and social gatherings.
Durable Construction: Built with high-quality materials, the 235 TE ensures longevity and resilience against the elements, making it a reliable choice for long-term ownership.
Cons
Price Point: The World Cat 235 TE is positioned in the higher price range compared to some traditional mono-hull boats, which may deter budget-conscious buyers.
Draft Considerations: While the catamaran design offers stability, it can have a deeper draft than some similar-sized mono-hulls, potentially limiting access to shallower waters.
Need for Maintenance: Like any boat, the 235 TE requires regular maintenance to keep it in peak condition, which could be a consideration for less experienced boaters.
Limited Size for Large Groups: Although it offers comfortable seating, the size of the 235 TE may not accommodate larger groups as well as bigger boats, making it less ideal for large family gatherings or parties.
Handling Characteristics: Some drivers may need time to adjust to the handling characteristics of a catamaran, which can differ from traditional boats, particularly in turns and maneuvering at low speeds.
Additional Upgrades: While the base model is well-equipped, many features that enhance the experience may require additional investment, such as upgraded electronics or added amenities.
