Summer Season Tours plus Fall Shuttle Boats Contract
We are offering our guided sightseeing tour and charter business that operates on Puget Sound out of Gig Harbor and Tacoma. 2026 Is our 19th. season. We were on 2023 Trip Advisor Top 7 Guided Boat Tours in the USA! In the fall, we fulfill a contract charter to provide shuttle service at Husky Stadium for the 6 or 7 U of W Home football games each season. 2026 will be our 17th. season as shuttle boats for U of W! This shuttle boat gig provides substantial revenue and extends our earning season nicely into the fall.
This business comes with two (2) USCG certified passenger vessels. Our boats are each certified to carry 33 passengers plus one captain and one crew!
We operate daily, public, guided sightseeing tours and private event charters in Gig Harbor and Tacoma, WA in the Summer approximately between Mid-May and Mid-October. Revenues shown are from a very conservative operation by our choice. We run only one main, two-hour tour per day in Gig Harbor and about three tours per week in Tacoma plus private charters in both locations. There is a lot of room for development of this business.
This sale includes our two Ex-US Navy 33' x 10.5', "10 Meter Utility Boats" built by Willard in Los Angeles, CA in 1992 and 1994. Each boat is powered by a single Cummins 6B 5.9, non-turbo, 115 hp. engine. Both boat engines are original have about 4,400 hrs. Transmissions are 2 to 1 B.W. Velvet Drives. All mechanicals are in very good condition. Both boats have a full survey coming this year for insurance requirements. Boats carry 78 gal. diesel. Avg. burn of only 2 gph. on our routes.
Being "COI" boats (USCG Certificate of Inspection), these boats must be operated by a USCG Credentialed Master (Capt.) with a minimum of a 25-Ton MMC (License) in order to carry passengers for hire. These boats are 8 Gross Tons. These boats also require an unlicensed crew person in addition to the captain on most routes.
"COI" Boats and the licensing of credentialed captains require multiple, specific annual and periodic inspections and certifications by the USCG. These are serious, federal inspections and oversight where there is zero-tolerance for non-compliance on regulations.
Our sale comes with all of our business materials, website, logos, tradenames, social media pages and some sportswear. We will aid in the transfer of reviews from social media to the extent it is possible. We will pass on to the buyer the online booking system set up, dock leases and U of W contract. We have one 16,000 lb. cap, 3 axle trailer that fits one boat at a time. This trailer is parked at rented storage. There are spare parts including a transmission and alternator. We intend this to be a turn-key business offering. Further financial information can be provided to qualified inquirers. Make an offer on business and boats or just the boats and trailer.
