The Weta Trimaran is a One Design Class, with lots of chances to Race against other Weta Trimarans. There is a large Weta Fleet in Florida & most racing in Florida is during Spring, Winter & Fall. There is a large Weta Fleet in North Carolina and they race mostly in Spring Summer & Fall. Some owners prefer not to race and just sail the Weta for pleasure. It is a great boat for 1 or 2 Adults or 1 Adult and several kids. It is a New Zealand design, very light and strong. There are Weta Trimarans all over the world. Almost every Weta ever sold is still in use and competitive with the new Weta Trimarans. It has 3 sails, a Roller furling Gennaker on the bowsprit, Jib and Square Top Mainsail. You use the jib and Main going up wind and all 3 sails going down wind. The boat rests on a dolly when not in the water. The boat on the dolly go on the trailer. The trailer never gets wet. To launch you slide the boat on the dolly off the trailer and rig up. Then you push the boat and dolly into the water, float the boat off the dolly, bring the dolly back to shore. Then sail away. The hull does not get scratched up since it only comes in contact with the dolly or the water. The trailer lights always work since the trailer never goes in the water. The boat with sails up ready to go only ways 275 pounds. The mast easy to step. The mast is carbon fiber and only weighs 25 pounds.
