I'll pick you up at Seattle airport take you to the yacht, you can spend the evening and overnight as our guests, possibly anchored in Lake Union, and I will return you to the airport or a nearby city / hotel of your choice the next day.
The Midnight SUN is a 70-foot Luxury custom Westport motor yacht designed by renowned Naval Architect Howard Apollonio for cruising Alaskaââ¬â¢s Inside Passage, comfortable and roomy with a 20-ft. beam. She has a panoramic salon/dining area with full windows for viewing whales and waterfalls. Sofa, loveseat and 2 single soft chairs and dining table for 6 comfortably seated. Everything about this boat speaks quality, excellence and constant maintenance.
In addition to hydronic central heating, she has a wood stove [with window] for cozy warmth.
Forward away from engine noise, she has 3 guest double staterooms, each with full bathroom ensuite including private showers. The helm area has a leather settee for 3, and a small office area with space for a computer, printer, a small library and ship's documents.
With only 5 feet draft, she can go almost anywhere. Her twin 360HP Scania Marine turbo diesel engines give her a comfortable cruise speed of 10-13 knots. All 110v systems and the 220v galley can be powered by her main 20KW genset and her backup new in 2014 10KW genset powers any load center however some manual load balancing may be required. She has a 4KW inverter for AC power when the generators are off with sufficient battery capacity to operate all night & make coffee in the morning. Every room has both 12v and 110v lighting. The 60 gph reverse osmosis fresh water maker lets you be totally self-contained. The upper deck is open for whale watching, barbecues and lounging in the sun on those days when the weather permits.
Equipped with todayââ¬â¢s best navigation electronics including 32 in chart plotter /GPS, AIS [even on the tender!], 36-mile radar and side-scanning sonar; a 14' A/B tender with a steering station, 10-man auto-inflating life raft, automatic fire extinguisher systems, smoke alarms, duplication/backups of all primary systems. The large tender seats 6 passengers and a helmsman and has 40 hp 4stroke. Key alarm systems are repeated in the master suite.
