Carpe Diem is a centerboard, bluewater capable vessel.  She is impressive in a seaway and a comfortable home when at the dock.  She is a fast cruiser that moves quickly to windward with her board down at 10'8" and with her board up at 4'6", she can explore gunk holes or find shelter from foul weather in depths that exclude other performance cruisers.  She is easy on the eye, well built, well maintained and the Hood 38 is on John Neal's (Mahina Expeditions) prestigious list of offshore cruising boats.

Carpe Diem was built with a fiberglass deck (no teak).  Her hull is smooth and blister free.  Interior accomodations include two private berths, an attractive salon and a galley with an Italian tile counter.  She has been continuously updated, is well equipped and ready for adventure.  The boat is currently in Key West, FL and she will relocate to Fort Pierce, FL in mid-April.
