In their day the Vineyard Vixen was advertised as a cruising sailboat, today we typically define them as a daysailor/weekender but regardless of the marketing they have always had monikers like "classy, beautiful, and head turner" attached to them!Ã?Â
Builder Tom Hale, who owned Martha's Vineyard Ship Builders, used L. Francis Herreshoff's Rozinante's lines and modified them slightly to allow for better overnighting accommodations and modernized the underbody for improved sailing performance. The result was a boat that is as pleasant to sail as she is to look at!
SEFA is one of the very lucky Vineyard Vixen 29s to have been given close to a 100% refit during the winter of 2017/18 including among other things a new engine, new deck paint in the non-skid areas, new toe rails and most other external woodwork, much new deck hardware, all new wiring throughout, new electronics, new sails and far more. Kindly read the full specs for details.
