Introduced in 1991, the Viking 50 is best described as a scaled-down version of the Viking 53 Convertible introduced a few years earlier. She's built on a modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam, a well-flared bow, and balsa coring in the hull sides. Her lush three-stateroom layout is similar in most respects to her predecessor. The master stateroom is midship, washer/dryer is standard, and the salon is open to the galley and dinette. Notable features of the Viking 50 include a spacious standup engine room, a huge in-deck fish box, direct cockpit engine room access, and a superb bridge layout with seating for eight. At approximately 60,000 lbs., the Viking 50 is no lightweight vessel. But the tradeoff is a comfortable ride!!Standard power in 1991 was 730 HP Detroit 8V92s (23 knots, cruise/29 top),The 50 Viking Convertible is one of the fastest boats in her class. More than 120 of these quality yachts were built during her production run.
"Kelly Lynn" is a very clean and well maintained Convertible Sportfish. Lots of room in the interior as well as a spacious cockpit and flybridge area.
She has received several improvements to enhance her appearance: new salon sole, galley appliances, cabinetry resurfacing, and new bed spread and pillow accents for the master stateroom. New Garmin electronics. A complete repainting of the entire boat from the water line up, and newly applied (Sept 2024) Hempel bottom paint and Prop Speed antifouling paint for the running gear. New cutlass bearings installed when bottom paint applied Engine oil and filters in November 2025. New fwd ac compressor and battery charger in 2025. Aggressively priced, turnkey, and ready to fish or cruise! This is the Lowest one priced in the market today.
