As Viking's new flagship, HMY agrees that this model will surpass the competition as the leader in larger sportfish yachts, and as a fresh and updated version of Viking's very successful and still very popular 92 Convertible, the 90 will include opportunities for the very latest in engineering, options, and accommodations that Viking can offer. Entering onboard the 90's massive 224 sq ft. one will find impressive features such as a 203-gallon LiveWell/fish box and a pair of 103-gallon insulated fish boxes with optional refrigeration. Having multiple level mezzanine seating will give anglers, crew, and spectators the space they need to produce results on the fishing grounds while everyone will soak in the action. The lower mezzanine will be centerline and close to the lower cockpit with optional air conditioning in the backrest, while the upper mezzanine will also face aft but give further comfort for spectators, such as an optional teak table, and optional air conditioning in the backrests. The engine room entrance will be centerline underneath the lower mezzanine and will house a separate crew quarters stateroom just aft of the engine room. The Awlgrip white engine room will house several engine packages, including the MTU M96L 2635s rated at 2635MHP a piece that will be included on Hull #1. With approximately 3,800 gallons of fuel and four fuel tanks, the 90 may indeed be seen in some of the most remote fishing destinations.
Walking into the salon through a traditional sportfish salon door on the starboard side, the 90's accommodations are expected to meet the most discerning of tastes with a contemporary interior of horizontal or vertical grained satin or high gloss walnut wood. The 23 ft. 2-inch beam will offer the 90 Convertible a salon and galley layout that will be unique compared to the rest of the Viking line, with amenities such as a U-shaped bar area with ample space for the galley. The accommodations below will satisfy all on-board, with a full beam master stateroom that houses his and hers heads with a large shower in the middle, as well as four additional staterooms and four heads. The climate controlled enclosed flybridge on the 90 is expected to be a captain's dream and not only will act as the command center, but a second salon. Unique to the 90, there will be a raised black Ultraleather wraparound electronics pod with an integrated visor that will hold up to five MFD (multi-functional displays). Aft of the enclosed flybridge will be the mezzanine deck, which includes an optional teak helm pod from Release Marine with single lever controls, optional electronic packages from AME, as well as mezzanine seating to take in all the action.
The 90’ Enclosed Bridge profile illustrates a synthesis of design traits from the 92, 80 and other modern Viking sportfishing yachts, as well as subtle motor yacht influences. “We designed the 90 to be as sleek as possible, stressing a low profile and clean lines,” says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. “We also brought several refinements to the exterior that enhance that lean, sexy look.” Precisely placed feature lines, deckhouse windows and portlights with chamfered edges and Viking’s signature hull-side vents are just a few of the 90’s aesthetic high points. Viking will offer three models of the 90 (Open Bridge, Enclosed Bridge and Sky Bridge), all utilizing a spacious six-stateroom accommodation plan highlighted by a full-beam master suite. “We’re providing a larger Viking that fishes just as well as their 80 and has the same type of performance and nimble maneuverability.” The Enclosed Bridge 90 can be outfitted with a tuna tower from Palm Beach Towers (PBT), and all three models can be equipped with a custom electronics, communications and entertainment package from Atlantic Marine Electronics (AME). Both Viking subsidiaries, AME and PBT ensure turnkey delivery.
Looking Aft
Dive into action in the cockpit and dual mezzanine, which share a sense of togetherness with a focus aft. From the salon, a 40-inch-wide electric-powered single door opens with a touch of a button. The upper mezzanine’s port side is home to an L-shaped aft-facing lounge with available air-conditioned backrest and a teak table. On the starboard side, there’s a versatile cooking and refreshment hub (with an additional aft-facing seat) that can be personalized to the owner’s liking with a grill and icemaker or refrigerator.
A large lounge on the lower mezzanine looks upon the cockpit, with its shapely fiberglass module holding storage underneath and tackle drawers on each side. The mezzanine provides centerline engine access to the crew quarters and engine room, and is also home to an oversized freezer (port) and two refrigerated boxes (starboard).
The expansive cockpit on the 90’ measures 224 square feet, with a 203-gallon transom fishbox/live well and a pair of full-length 103-gallon insulated in-deck fishboxes. There is easy access to the Seakeeper 35 which is provided by a single powered hatch on centerline, a watertight design introduced with recent Viking 80 demonstrator boats, and the cockpit sole is built with reinforcement for a fighting chair, rocket launcher or table.

Spanning the 23-foot, 2-inch beam, the owner’s suite boasts a king walkaround bed, a walk-in closet, a dressing table, a lounge area, a full-size credenza under a bulkhead-mounted 65-inch HD TV and his-and-hers private facilities with separate access.
