The introduction of the original 55 Viking (1998-2003) proved to be one of Vikings best models ever and to date. As with other Viking models, they brought the all new and much improved 55 Viking Convertible back to the market in 2013. The layout below pretty much stayed the same, a three stateroom two head configuration with much improved luxurious tones and changed the salon lay out by moving the sofa to port and adding the dinette forward of the sofa. An island galley was also introduced with two bar stools. Speaking of islands, the bridge helm is also an island adding more room and easy to walk around the bridge. A mezzanine became standard in the cockpit and larger engines were introduced. The beam on the 55 Viking is 5 inches wider than the previous model and faster cruising at around 35 knots, topping out at 40 knots. The 2017 Viking Convertible "Beach Girl" is a loaded 55 Viking with great options like Garmin electronics, Starlink, bridge A/C, SeaKeeper 9, a chipper and water maker.
