She was built on a low-deadrise, modified-V hull with a wide beam and a shallow keel for directional stability. Several interior layouts were available during her production run. The original galley-up floorplan has three staterooms and two heads on the lower level with the master stateroom to starboard. In 1992 an angled double bed replaced the single berths in the forward stateroom, and the last layoutââ?¬â??introduced in 1993ââ?¬â??has a walk-around queen bed in the bow stateroom. The beautifully appointed interior of the Viking 53 was lavish indeed by the standards of her day, especially for a sportfishing yacht.
