Introduced in the 1990s, the first-generation 50 was one of Viking’s most successful models, with 142 boats built during a challenging era that included the Luxury Tax. The second generation launched in 2008 and continued that tradition with 42 boats delivered. Design and Construction

The 50 Convertible shares many design cues with Viking’s latest flagships: a flush foredeck for increased safety; a modified upper chine and aggressive strakes for a dry, stable ride; and recessed salon windows with signature radiused perimeters. Sleek feature lines along the hull and deckhouse emphasize the yacht’s powerful profile.

The hull, tankage and structural bulkheads are resin-infused to optimize strength and reduce weight, while Light Resin Transfer Molding and carbon fiber reinforcements further elevate build quality. Flybridge and Cockpit
