Beautifully styled, like all Vikings yachts, the 42 has a well-appointed salon featuring an L-Shaped lounge, a Teak cocktail table, covered valances, and a surround-sound entertainment system with a flat screen TV. The dinette is a step above the carpeted sole with wrap-around seating and a teak dining table. Viking offers the 42 with a choice of layouts, The "Hawk Tuna" has the standard two stateroom, two head floor plan with an island queen forward and upper and lower bunks on the port side, and two heads with showers. It has a mid-level galley with bar stool seating and a galley forward in the salon. A mezzanine deck overlooks the cockpit complete with a rocket launcher. With 122 sq. ft. of space, the cockpit is more than ample for fishing. The mezzanine features hinged ultra leather seating with stowage below and has an optional freezer, this is also where you have engine room access under a hatch that leads directly to the compartment. There is a transom door with a lift cap railing, fresh and raw water washdowns, a tackle locker with drawers, and a transom fish box. The 42 is powered with 600hp Cummins/Zeus pod drives. This boat has many options you will not find on other boats like an air conditioned flybridge with twin Teak Murray helm chairs and a bench seat forward of the helm so everyone can sit in the air conditioning.
