Heartland is a very well kept Union 36 sailboat built in 1983 at the Union Yacht Co. in Taiwan. Originally designed by Robert Perry as the Hans Christian 34, He latter stretched the design and created the Hans Christian 36, Union Polaris, Mariner Polaris and the Union 36. Heartland has the pedigree of Bob Perry and Hans Christian along with the reality of a proven blue water cruiser. She also bears the pedigree of cruising off of Columbia, Venezuela and Panama along with the San Blas Islands by the previous owners.

Heartland was owned by friends of the current owner who brought her here to St Louis from Central America for a refit. The unfortunate death of one of the owners ultimately triggered the sale 5 years ago. The new owners were still working which gave them time to finish the refit and eventually transport her back to salt water in Fort Lauderdale. her refit was completed there and as life would have it she is available again. ready for cruising with many upgrades.
