The Bay 190 features a wide beam that enhances stability and fishing comfort. The bow area is spacious enough for casting nets, with a non-skid surface to provide secure footing in rough conditions. Beneath the bow deck, there is ample storage on both sides, one of which can be used as a fish box. For anglers using trolling motors, a 12-volt electrical plug is standard, and an optional mounting kit is available. An optional swim ladder was also fitted on the test boat, enhancing utility.

During testing, the Bay 190 achieved a top speed of 36 miles per hour at 5,400 RPM and planed within approximately three seconds. Cruising speed was recorded at 29.9 miles per hour at 4,500 RPM, with a fuel consumption rate of 10.1 gallons per hour.
