The Biggest Pros and Cons
Pros and Cons of the 2026 Tracker Grizzly 12 Jon
Pros
Durable Construction: Made from rugged aluminum, the Tracker Grizzly 12 Jon is built to withstand the rigors of both freshwater and saltwater environments. Its robust design ensures longevity and resilience against dents and corrosion.
Lightweight and Portable: Weighing in at a manageable size, the Grizzly 12 Jon is easy to transport and maneuver, whether you're loading it onto a trailer or carrying it to your favorite fishing spot.
Stability and Performance: The flat bottom design provides excellent stability, making it ideal for calm lakes or slow-moving rivers. This design facilitates easy access to shallow water areas that might be inaccessible to larger boats.
Versatile Use: The Tracker Grizzly 12 Jon is suitable for a variety of activities, including fishing, hunting, and recreational boating. Its versatile nature makes it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts.
Ample Casting Space: With its open layout and spacious deck, anglers have plenty of room to cast lines and move around comfortably, enhancing the overall fishing experience.
Affordability: Priced competitively, the Tracker Grizzly 12 Jon offers great value for those looking for a reliable small boat without breaking the bank.
Cons
Limited Size: While its compact size is a pro for transportation, it may also limit capacity. It is best suited for small groups or solo outings rather than larger gatherings.
Minimal Amenities: The Grizzly 12 Jon is designed for utility and durability rather than luxury, so it lacks features like built-in storage or advanced electronics that more expensive models might include.
Non-powered: The base model comes without a motor, which means you'll need to invest in a separate motor or oars for propulsion, potentially adding to the overall cost.
Weather Exposure: With an open layout, users need to be prepared for the elements, as there is little protection from rain or sun compared to larger, enclosed boats.
Less Suitable for Rough Waters: While stable in calm conditions, its flat bottom design can make it less ideal for choppy waters or stronger currents, limiting its usability in certain environments.
