Boarding from a floating dock you would be on to the swim platform port or starboard.
The port hull side of the aft lower cockpit area folds outward to create a huge aft cockpit area. A four person swivel lounge seat swivels 360○ for an optimum view and enjoyment.
Aft is a walk through transom gate on both the port and starboard side. To starboard is a walk through hull side door.
Forward is a C-shaped fixed seat for 4-5 people facing aft with a folding top table on stainless legs.
One small step up on both the port and starboard side is a semi-enclosed area with a fold out seat and an open galley with a sink, two fridge drawers, a freezer drawer, a Kenyon grill, Isotherm icemaker and three storage cabinets. Above is a fold down TV. This area has a roll-up clear vinyl window to the helm, A/C vents, overhead lights and a faux teak sole.
Going forward from the starboard side is a large U-shaped seating area for 6-8 people. The faux teak sole extends all the way forward. The windlass equipment is under a hatch. An electrically operated table rises from the flush deck. This area has the optional bow shade as needed.

In early February 2021, Mercury Marine collaborated with six boatbuilders to launch large boats powered by the new Mercury Verado 12V 7.6 liter 600 horsepower engine. Among these was the all-new Tierra 48LS, a vessel designed specifically to be powered by three of Mercury's 600 horsepower outboards. The Tierra 48LS was developed through a year and a half partnership between Mercury and Tierra founder Leon Slickers, aiming to meet demands for speed, fuel economy, and ease of operation. The boat serves as a guest-friendly day boat with comfortable seating, a three-person helm deck that can be fully enclosed, and two staterooms below for extended cruising.
Exterior Design and Deck Layout
The Tierra 48LS measures 48 feet 4 inches in length overall with a beam of 14 feet 2 inches and a dry weight of 25,000 pounds. It carries 660 gallons of fuel. The deck plan is asymmetrical forward of midships, featuring a deep, secure side deck to starboard and a raised deck to port that provides additional interior space and facilitates docking or rafting.
