Exterior Design and Cockpit Features

The standout feature of the 43LE is its rotating cockpit seating, a concept first introduced on the builder's 38LS model and now refined for this yacht. The seating system offers three locking positions: forward, 45 degrees to port, and aft-facing, each equipped with pop-out footrests. Between the seats, a high-gloss pedestal table creates a spa-like ambiance ideal for socializing. Adjacent to this is a port side drop-down bulkhead terrace that significantly enhances the entertaining space. For safety and security underway, stainless steel framed acrylic gates enclose the cockpit. Forward seating in the cockpit includes port and starboard seats angled at 45 degrees, forming a spacious venue for gatherings. The helm area features double-wide forward helm and observer seats mounted on solid fiberglass bases, which also rotate to 45-degree aft-facing positions, allowing up to ten guests to enjoy theater-like seating for sunset views at anchor. Cooking is facilitated by an electric grill positioned on the aft side of the rotating seat module, doubling as an outdoor barbecue and social hub. Additional features include an inward-opening starboard side cockpit door that facilitates boarding from floating docks and provides convenient access for swimmers and scuba divers. Multiple reboarding options are available, including a ladder on the port side terrace and an emergency pull-out ladder on the port transom platform.

Bow and Lower Deck Accommodations

The starboard quarter conceals two 50-amp shore power cords on electric reels behind a bulwark panel, with fresh and raw water washdown quick connects nearby. A deck hatch provides access to a central mechanical compartment housing filters, pumps, battery switches, a 7.5 kW diesel generator, and an optional Seakeeper gyro mounted on reinforced stringers. The ground tackle system is concealed under a hatch and includes a windlass with a through-stem roller controlled by wired remotes at the bow and helm.

Power and Performance

The 43LE is powered by either triple Yamaha 425 horsepower XTO outboards or triple Mercury 450R racing outboards, both V8 configurations equipped with joystick control and autopilot capabilities. Although the boat has not yet undergone detailed testing or inspection, Tierra Yachts reports that the 27,000-pound vessel can achieve speeds slightly over 50 miles per hour with either engine option, reflecting strong performance potential for a yacht of this class.
