Apparently CHRISTMAS is coming early with the owner of this Starwind 19 lowering the price from 6,900.00 down to 5,900.00 effective 12/10/2025. This includes the galvanized trailer and her unique Propane powered 2 year old outboard.
A Jim Taylor design, the Starwind 19 is a responsive easily trailered "pocket yacht" that maximizes the room inside and out for any 19'er anywhere. Very trailerable with most moderate size cars and easy to set up the keel with pivot centerboard design allow you to get into shallower water than most cabin boats. Uphauling the centerboard is a one hand cockpit operation without having to leave the tiller - - no winch required, just very easy.
She sports a cockpit large enough for 3 to 4 adults and the interior while ideal for 2 can be stretched for a couple with a couple of kids. Assuming everyone is family or friends you can make lots of wonderful memories. And she would be ideal for single handing if your crew can no go on a particular day.
Everything ready to go including a hardly used 5 hp long shaft Mercury propane outboard and thus this Starwind 19 is ready and waiting. Approximately 44,000 to 45,000 to replace, it is amazing that you can purchase such a great little cabin sailboat for the very reasonable price shown. Certainly most of the depreciation is gone so whether you keep this boat for 10 years or find it a stepping stone towards your next sailboat, this little yacht is a great value. Per year cost to own this boat is minimal. Clearly cheaper than renting a boat.
A real keel boat the Starwind 19 can stand up to some pretty serious weather and as a real keel boat she has great stability - -and can virtually not be turned over given the near 400 lbs of fixed ballast. She floats in 18" with the board up and draws 4' 6" with the centerboard down. Quite Versitle.
Additionally, the galvanized trailer is very sturdy making her safe for distance hauling. You'll note that the cushions on the interior are attractive.
This writer had the opportunity to sail a Starwind 19 recently and it reminded me of just what a joy she is to tiller. A BLAST to sail ! And the 5 hp Mercury runs wonderfully. She is a very manageable size.
Exterior surfaces shines so she shows nicely, thus she is a sailboat you would be proud to own.
Located at our yard in Memphis please contact us for an appointment to see this lovely little yacht. Or, just drop by. You'll be glad you did. Make sure you have a 2" ball with you so you can haul her away !!
