The 290 Stamas Tarpon is a wide beam/ deep modified vee hull long-range center console designed to appeal to serious anglers with an appreciation for the rugged durability long associated with the Stamas brand. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and a sleek profile and full-height transom make her one of the best-looking rigs of her type on the market.
A 302-gallon fuel capacity provides good range, even with the
biggest outboards. The standard leaning post incorporates a rigging
station with a freshwater sink and a large livewell. A second
livewell is built into the walk-through transom, and two lockable
in-deck storage boxes flank the console. There's space at the helm
for flush-mounting the necessary electronics, and a private head
compartment is accessed from the front of the console. Note that
the deck is flush from the stern to the bow where a filler converts
the U-shaped seating into a large casting platform. Her Twin 225 Yamaha Twin outboards have 925 original hours and the engines are in top condition with great compression and regularly serviced and have a lot of life left in them. The 225 Yamahas will deliver top speeds in the 40 knot range and a cruising speed mid - high 20s.
