S/V Madison Ann is 1/7 Slocum 43 Pilothouse models built. An extensive refit was done in 2022-2023; virtually all rigging, mechanicals and equipment was replaced or gone through.

The pilothouse design means she can be piloted from both inside and out, and her living accommodations are truly overstated for a boat of this size and style. A short time of freshening up is all she needs to go cruising!

Accommodations

This boat's comfortable accommodations are part of what makes it so special. Upon entering the companionway down the teak steps (Treadmaster panels on each), you step down into a homey space where the master cabin (standing headroom, lots of storage, and a double berth!) lies to port and a quarter berth to your right. A hanging locker and plenty of under- and behind-seat storage

The salon is expansive and open. To starboard is the inside helm station. The entire salon is surrounded with large (tempered and tinted) windows, letting in plenty of light and allowing you to see the beauty that surrounds you at anchor or at sea. Engine access is below the salon, allowing 360-degree access for repairs and maintenance. 7-8 overhead hatches.

Forward of the salon, you step down into a spacious galley with a dinette big enough for 4 and a u-shaped galley with a double stainless sink and large refrigeration and separate fridge/freezer system, three burner marine oven/stove and plenty of storage.

The head rivals the head of any boat ten feet longer than this one. There is a tub with room to sit or stand in the large separate shower stall, plenty of room to stand and move about in the head, as well as a stainless sink and more storage.

Forward there are two bunks to port and a metal-lined workbench to starboard, meeting the needs of the true cruiser. The workbench closes when not in use.

Throughout, the teak joinery and woodwork on this boat is exceptional. All closets are lined with teak, so as not to retain moisture. The interior, because of the pilothouse configuration, remains light and cheerful--something that is lost on many similar boats.

Refit included:

-Hull sides painted in AwlGrip: there are 2-3 areas that need cosmetic repair

-Bottom was done in 2 coats hard, 2 coats ablative anti-fouling. Ablative needs to be done

-Teak toe rail and hand rails were done in Cetol but need it either removed or removed and redone

-New alternator, starter and glow plugs

-2 stage Racor fuel filtration

-batteries were replaced with new 6 volt golf cart types - likely need replacing

-new radar

-there is a Raymarine 4000 AP but no actuator

-new flush mount cockpit compass

-Ozefridge new in 23 - either water or aircooled; supplies split fridge/freezer with separate cooling plates

-new steering and shifter cables installed both cockpit and interior helm

-new mattresses, curtains, seaworthy dishware

-new bilge pumps

-all running rigging replaced - 100%
