This beautiful, classic 1979 Sisu Downeast 22 is located in Bridgeport, CT and powered by a 75 hp 2008 Yanmar diesel with only 10 engine hours.
Designed by Royal Lowell in the style of a Maine lobster boat, ââ¬ÅRoccusââ¬ï¿½ is a real ââ¬Åhead-turnerââ¬ï¿½. She was completely restored in 2006, including all new wiring, new Awlgrip on the hull and cockpit, a new engine box, new cleats, and all of the brightwork was stripped and refinished.
The 78 square-foot cockpit features a teak bench seat, teak folding table, custom fold-away helm seat, cushioned engine box, and a large storage box with a cushion. Below, the cabin sleeps two in the V-berth and there is also a (never used) Porta-Potti. Rounding out the package is a custom canvas Winter cover.
SISUs are known for their sea keeping ability. With a sharp bow and semi-displacement hull these boats do not pound in a chop. Designed for use on near coastal waters, the Sisu 22 is ideal for light fishing, a family picnic, or a leisurely cruise.
