This boat has been fully restored to near show room condition. You will not find a better condition used boat at this price! The current owner took years to rebuild this to his exacting standards. He is selling this boat to make room for his new larger boat which he will sail in his retirement years.
It is generally accepted that the Seidelmann 299 represents a good value in a sailboat, with fine sailing qualities, roomy and good headroom below as well as being modestly priced. They can be sailed solo but are easy to manage with two.
There is plenty of room below to shelve crew gear and consumables for the day's sail. By most reports they point very close to the wind. They excel in a light breeze or 20 knot winds. Boat is not heavy and acts it in a blow.
Boat handles well under power, and at the dock, the boat offers a roomy and bright salon. Ventilation is good. 6' 3" headroom is welcome by many. The boat was designed to sleep 6, though some might find that tight for six adults.
