The 2101 Striper walkaround by Seaswirl is designed to combine family-friendly features with fishing capabilities, effectively functioning as an on-the-water SUV. Powered by a Yamaha 200 four-stroke engine, with options ranging from a base 150 horsepower up to 250 horsepower from any major manufacturer, this boat aims to offer versatility and performance for a variety of boating activities.
Exterior Design and Cockpit Features
The boat features a large motor well designed to prevent water from back feeding into the cockpit when maneuvering near fish. Swim platforms are located on both sides, with the port side equipped with a three-step boarding ladder and a stainless steel grab rail. The transom is notably high, rising 22 inches, and centrally houses a 30-gallon live well with a gas-assisted hatch, stainless steel hinges, and a full gasket seal. This live well is aerated, lighted, macerated, and drains from the bottom, with a cutting surface integrated on top. The cockpit offers approximately 21 square feet of space, surrounded by padded bolsters ranging from 21 to 26 inches in height, providing comfortable support around the entire cockpit area, including near the live well. Forward in the cockpit are dual 92-quart self-draining insulated fish boxes. Optional jump seats are easily removable, and behind them are access hatches to batteries, battery switches, fuel filters, and water separators. The cockpit liner is a one-piece fiberglass design, with a hatch providing access to the 105-gallon fuel tank and its fittings.
Helm and Control Area
The helm area includes a passenger seat that rotates and slides forward, complemented by a flip-down footrest and Plano tackle drawer storage. The dashboard features digital gauges for tachometer and speedometer, rocker switches, and a recessed area for mounting electronics. The stainless steel steering wheel employs a down-east mounting style, and the engine control is mounted on the starboard bulkhead, which also provides a modest armrest.
Interior Living Spaces
Below deck, the cabin offers 33 inches of headroom from the seat, illuminated by a BOMAR overhead hatch with a screen and blackout shade, as well as port lights on both sides allowing natural light.
