One of the largest domestic express yachts available when she was introduced in 1999, the Sea Ray 460 Sundancer is an impressive blend of American sportboat styling, luxury-class accommodations, and state-of-the-art construction. While the styl- ing was perhaps more conservative than most European express yachts of her era, a wide beam and an expansive two-stateroom, two-head floorplan provide the 460 with cabin dimensions that European imports-with their relatively narrow beams-could only envy. Sea Ray interiors have always been among the best in the business, and the accommodations of the 460 are impressive in every respect. The mid-stateroom, complete with an enclosed head and standard washer/dryer, offers complete privacy behind sliding pocket doors. (Note that the settees in both the salon and mid-stateroom convert to double berth at the touch of a button.) In the cockpit, the facing aft settees convert electrically into a huge sun pad. A gas-assist hatch provides easy access to the engine room. An extended swim platform was standard.

Exterior Design and Cockpit
Boarding the 460 Sundancer begins at the teak-covered hydraulic swim platform, which extends 4 feet 8 inches and includes central brackets for mounting a small tender or personal watercraft. A remote control for the platform is stored in a concealed locker to starboard, with a master switch powering the system. Beneath the platform is a reboarding ladder, complemented by a handhold embedded in the decking for ease of water reentry. To port, flush-mounted stairs automatically rise when the platform is lowered, facilitating side deck access. Forward of the platform, ample storage is available, currently housing life jackets, and a hatch conceals an electric grill alongside a sink—features that preserve cockpit openness for socializing. The cockpit itself features L-shaped seating with removable cushions to ease boarding from fixed piers. The seating includes premium upholstery with diamond stitching and flip-down armrests, with storage beneath. A pedestal table can be mounted to complete the seating area. With the touch of a button, the seating slides back 16 inches toward the swim platform, expanding the usable space. Opposite the L-shaped seating is a bench seat adjacent to stairs leading to the side deck. Overhead, an extendable shore shade awning provides protection from the elements, while venting in the overhead structure allows airflow to mitigate exhaust accumulation during following seas. Symmetrical side decks with 29-inch high rails and grab rails lead forward to the bow, where adjustable sun pads offer leg support or can be lifted into a lounge position, flanked by stainless steel grab rails.
Interior Living Spaces
Accessed through sliding glass doors, the interior of the 460 Sundancer features a centrally located galley with a ceiling height of 7 feet 2 inches, enhancing the open and airy atmosphere. The galley spans both sides of the passageway, with an L-shaped counter to port offering generous workspace. It includes a two-burner cooktop, a single basin stainless steel sink beneath a cover, and a decorative backsplash that contains spills on the upgraded Silestone quartz countertop. Below the counter are a convection microwave, storage compartments, a stainless grab handle, and an ice maker. The salon TV is mounted on a swivel mechanism, allowing it to face either the salon or the cockpit. Additional counter space and storage are located opposite, along with a side-by-side refrigerator and freezer. Transitioning into the salon, an 8-inch step leads down to opposing seating arrangements: a two-person loveseat to starboard and an L-shaped sofa to port. A teak pedestal table with a high-gloss dark cherry veneer finish can be moved aside to convert the sofa into a sleeper. Private Accommodations
Below deck, the accommodations begin with an open atrium illuminated by natural light from above. The master stateroom, located aft, offers a spacious feel with 6 feet 2 inches of overhead clearance at the center, tapering to 5 feet 8 inches at the sides. A queen-size berth is centered in the room, flanked by hall side windows with matching wood trim and corner-mounted shelves. Storage includes a full-length cedar closet and a smaller closet to starboard. A 32-inch television is mounted forward, with a concealed washer-dryer combination below and surround sound speakers nearby. Subdued lighting accents the wood trim, and a full-length mirror is positioned at the entrance. The en-suite head features mirrored storage cabinets above a vessel sink set in a Corian countertop, a hall side window with an opening port light, and a walk-in shower. Additional storage is accessible from the atrium. A day head with private access to the VIP stateroom is also located on this level. The VIP stateroom forward contains an island berth flanked by hall side windows and illuminated by an overhead hatch. The berth can be separated into two single berths in a scissor configuration to accommodate non-couple guests. The room includes an upholstered headboard with high-gloss cherry woodwork, a 24-inch television, cedar closets on both sides, and integrated surround sound.
