Introduced in 2008, the 370 became yet another Sundancer sales success in spite of a severely depressed boating economy. Nearly all late-model Sundancers are built on deep-V hulls with cored hullsides and a solid fiberglass bottom. While Sundancers are generally known for their cutting-edge styling, the 370's especially lush cabin accommodations are a match for the most expensive European sport yachts. With 6'7" of cabin headroom and a huge mid-stateroom, the interior is that of a considerably larger boat. The 370's comfortable cockpit can seat a small crowd and includes a deluxe wet bar with refrigerator, teak cockpit table, power engine-room hatch, and a clever aft-facing transom seat that folds out of the lazarette and overlooks the swim platform. The swivel helm and companion seats are a nice touch. Cruise at 24-26 knots with 375hp gas I/Os, and about 20 knots with V-drive inboards.

Our test boat, weighing approximately 20,039 pounds with fuel and three passengers aboard, was equipped with optional twin 380 horsepower Mercury 8.2-liter Mag ECTC engines paired with Bravo 3X drives. This configuration achieved a top speed of 36.8 miles per hour at 4750 rpm and an optimal cruising speed of 31 mph at 4000 rpm, where fuel consumption was 40.5 gallons per hour, yielding a range of 147 statute miles while maintaining a 10% fuel reserve. Acceleration to plane occurred in 6.8 seconds, with 20 mph reached in 11.9 seconds and 30 mph in 21.7 seconds. Handling characteristics included a somewhat elevated bow attitude at speed and a higher center of gravity, but the boat demonstrated a dry ride crossing wakes by effectively dispersing spray.
