Overview

The Sea Ray Sundancer 320 is a versatile combination cruiser and day boat available in either outboard or stern drive configurations. This model is designed to balance comfortable social spaces with practical overnight accommodations, making it suitable for weekend excursions as well as day cruising. The boat measures 32 feet 9 inches in length overall, with a beam of 10 feet 7 inches and a draft of 41 inches.

Exterior Design and Cockpit

The cockpit serves as the main gathering area and features an L-shaped seating arrangement that extends across the stern and up the port side, complete with upscale upholstery treatments including custom embroidery and multi-density dry fast foam. A teak pedestal table adds functionality, while storage is abundant beneath the seats, including dedicated space for a 36-quart carry-on cooler. The observer seat has a flip-backrest to switch between forward and aft facing, and opposing seating is located to starboard with storage and stereo components beneath. A refreshment center to starboard includes a covered stainless steel sink, an electric grill, a dual voltage fridge, and a tip-out trash receptacle. Flooring options include snap-in SeaDek matting, carpet, woven vinyl, or teak. Overhead, the cockpit is protected by either a bimini arch or a fiberglass hardtop standing 6 feet 9 inches above the deck, equipped with speakers, a canvas sunshade, and an extendable shore shade awning. Courtesy and underwater lighting enhance the ambiance, and a centrally mounted hook simplifies securing the cockpit cover. Boarding is facilitated by side steps and an angled starboard walkthrough leading to a large swim platform measuring 58 inches, which includes a 17-inch hydraulic extension and a recessed hot and cold shower. The transom hatch reveals extensive storage space.

Bow and Forward Seating

Externally, the Sundancer 320 exhibits the classic Sundancer profile with high rails extending from midships forward to the ground tackle. Below deck, the cabin features a convertible dinette, a head, and a mid-cabin sleeping area. The main salon offers typical V-shaped seating with 3 feet 7 inches of headroom and a single pedestal table. A 24-inch television is mounted forward, while a refrigerator and microwave are positioned aft to port. Natural light and ventilation are provided by hall-side windows and opening ports. The dinette converts into a berth measuring 77 inches wide at the aft end, tapering to 21 inches forward, with a full length of 60 inches. Aft of the salon are twin berths measuring 30 inches wide by 72 inches long, which can be converted into a larger single berth. Storage compartments and a second 24-inch flat screen television are located on the aft bulkhead. The head includes a mirrored cabinet, an opening port window, a vessel sink set in a solid surface countertop, and storage beneath the vanity. The vacuum-flush toilet is connected to a 28-gallon holding tank, and a separate shower wand creates a wet head configuration. Air conditioning is available for the entire lower deck, with an option for two-zone climate control that includes the cockpit.

Operational Features and Systems

The bow rail is uniquely designed to enhance safety while allowing convenient access to the windlass and enabling a Euro-style chain replacement for bow-end docking. The ground tackle is concealed beneath a hatch secured by a lift and lock latch, with a backup manual handle stored below. The windlass leads to a stainless steel anchor roller supporting a plow-style anchor, and an 8-inch cleat secures the rode to relieve load on the windlass. Power and Performance

Standard propulsion consists of twin 300 horsepower Mercruiser 6.2-liter MPI engines paired with Bravo 3 stern drives. Upgraded options include twin 350 horsepower 6.2-liter engines with C-Core drives, Axios joystick control, SmartCraft digital throttle and shift, and a SmartCraft vessel view display. Alternatively, twin 260 horsepower TDI diesel engines are available. Engine room vents are positioned to the sides with a stylized design. The helm features a soft-touch dash with analog gauges that can be upgraded to dual 9-inch or 12-inch Simrad displays. Drink holders flank the helm, alongside a spotlight remote and connectivity ports. The Fusion Apollo stereo system offers Wi-Fi, DSP, and supports up to seven remotes. Controls include a well-organized switch panel, a wrapped tilt steering wheel, auto trim for the variable running surface tabs, and an Axis joystick positioned behind the helm seats. The helm seats are double-wide with individual 19-inch flip bolsters and custom upholstery.

Acceleration to 20 miles per hour took 10.2 seconds, and to 30 miles per hour, 17.4 seconds.
